Free Google Chromebook Pixel?

One interesting thing about the pricing ($1300 – $1450) for this Chromebook: it comes with 1TB of Google Drive storage for three years.

At current pricing, 1TB costs $50/month (or $600/year).

If prices don’t change for 3 years (not a good assumption), you would pay less for a Chromebook Pixel than 3 years of Google Drive.

I’m still not going to buy one.

Update (3/14/2014): Yep, not a good assumption after all. After a massive price drop, 1TB now costs $10/month (or $120/year). And I didn’t buy one, but my friend Bob did. It’s pretty, but I’ll wait to see the Pixel 2, if it ever comes out.
